Wedding Event photography Tips
Posted by Jessie Don in Photography Monday, 11 January 2010 00:23 No Comments
An event photographer is someone who you want to photograph your wedding. They should be motivated, have good experience and communication and most likely they will have their own style. An excellent event photographer will only posses these qualities through experience, so make sure that they are well trained and can focus on what you want is important.
Every event photographer will have their own style. The photographers style should coincide with your idea of the type of wedding pictures you want. Otherwise you might end up having a horrible experience. Every event photographer will have a different style. Some photographers like to be traditional and others like to be wild. Traditional pictures will consist of those of the bride herself, the groom himself, the bride and groom together, the wedding party, and everyone all together. Wild styles can be anywhere from being completely serious in all of the pictures to making funny faces.
An event photographer should be highly motivated, try to find one who is. You do not want to have someone who is inactive and sitting around missing all the good pictures they could be capturing. Motivation isn’t just about doing the job, but enjoying it and communicating are also involved.
Experience can only come to an event photographer over time. In some cases you should ask questions such as where they were previously employed and for how long. Asking these questions can help you make a clear decision when choosing an event photographer. If they are now employed by themselves you can find out what kind of work they produced when they were employed by asking their previous employer. It may be a devious way of getting information but it is better to find out then to have horrible pictures produced.
Being relaxed around your event photographer will make things go smoother. And they should try to make you feel comfortable and relaxed when around them. Later on at the wedding, this will help them to capture the precious photos. If you are nervous around your event photographer you will see that emotion in your wedding pictures.

How To Choose A Corporate Photographer
Posted by Albert Frank in Photography Friday, 8 January 2010 00:22 No Comments
Occasions like an important symposium or a major client visit do not come often, and it is critical to keep a record of such events in the form of photographs, which you can later use for both inside and outside company circulation. Taking these photographs requires corporate photographers.
Taking professional photographs at an event is a rare skill. Unlike many other types of photography, the person capturing an occasion hardly has any control over the flow of the event or how the people react. The task involved in shooting an event requires experience and professionalism on part of the photographer and not everyone can do a good job at it. But the key thing is, a corporate photographer hardly ever gets a second chance at a shot.
There are some important things that you need to be aware of before you go ahead and pick a corporate photographer. He must have impressive accuracy and good technical know-how of light settings for his equipment, as most corporate events take place in covered halls. You should also ensure that the photographer does not bring with him a bad quality camera with poor resolution or lack of adaptability to lesser light.
You must not go for an amateur for an event of any importance. There are lots of pros out there to choose from. To make sure that the photographer will do justice to your needs, ask for some samples of his past work. You can also ask for client references on the performance of that photographer.
Once you have narrowed down on a photographer, discuss the details of the assignment with him and make your expectations clear. This will ensure that there is no confusion and will also give you assurance in the photographer’s capability of handling tricky situations in case they occur in the event. In addition, a detailed discussion would put the event photographer at ease and he would be able to deliver his job adequately well done.

Which Venues For Wedding Are Most Suitable For Bridal Photography
Posted by Paul Stevens in Photography Wednesday, 6 January 2010 00:47 No Comments
The first thing that comes to mind while discussing a wedding is its venue. The venue, be it old fashioned or contemporary, plays a key role in giving the marriage its distinct identity, and the chosen venue finds its place in the wedding photographs.
The couple’s expectations must specifically be communicated to the wedding photographers, whose job is a very important part of the marriage ceremony. An established bridal photographer should know how to capture the beauty of the bride as well as of the venue in his photos. Paying equal attention to the bride and the venue is something that only experienced wedding photographers are able to achieve.
Every venue offers its own unique features and backdrop for bridal photography. Some people go for a traditional ritualistic wedding in the church or other places of worship, while others may decide to go for something much more contemporary. The religious venues are normally very rich in architectural grandeur, which gives a good opportunity to wedding photographers to take visually appealing photographs.
But it is not that easy to get the correct marriage photographs inside most venues. The vicinity of the venue can be explored for a scenic outdoor site that can be made use of to shoot the bridal and wedding photographs in this case. In fact, as wedding photographers have a great deal of idea about these matters; it may help if you just take the photographer along with you while scouting for a venue.
Remember that the task has only just started even after selecting the venue as far as bridal photography is concerned. Most good venues have some type of natural beauty about them and the next step for wedding photographers is to enhance that beauty. Once that is accomplished, it is all down to the expertise of the photographer in making sure that the pictures come out the way you want them to.

As a freelancer our featured artist uses unique and advanced methods to create his designs. Ralf Kunstmann has developed his skills in Traditional, Photo and Nature Illustration, as you can see in his online portfolio.
Born and raised in Nuremburg, Germany, he broke out into the freelance world in 1991, to pursue the design dream. He is now a member of the Association of Art in Erlangen and a member of the German Designers Alliance.
Ralf has incorporated his knowledge, gathered over the many years of his practice of airbrushing mix-techniques, painting fine colour shades and photorealism in his designs. These are a few of the skills he specialises in.
He also understands that these methods and ways of working do not end here. Someone, somewhere will produce a better way of developing these skills and you always have to keep up with them and abreast of industry trends
In 2003, Ralf had a change of direction using Abstract art, as he was working solely with a putty knife. This is considered to be highly popular area and understood well by art lovers.
Over his years of study, designing and understanding, Ralf has managed to form his own type of design. Mixing photographs with paintings is what he works well with. It would be made clear if the photorealism was not that at all but just a bunch of photos and splashes of paint, so all who try this technique must seek to complete it well.
Ralf will spend most of his time in front of the screen nowadays. He likes to stick to tight schedules, which he has mastered along with becoming a digital artist since 1998. But he knows that you need to master the art of painting, even though you have all these digital aids.
Clients from all over the world have had a Ralf Kunstmann design, including Audi, Hoerzu, Zentis, Stern, Messe Muenchen and many, many more.

Capture the Beauty That is All Around – Landscape Photography
Posted by Veronica Carrillo in Photography Sunday, 3 January 2009 01:45 No Comments
That’s right, you go through all the trouble of making your house or apartment nicer by hauling yourself off to the local fix it yourself store or hiring some professionals to come in and do it for you, so why not capture an accurate record of it for posterity. At almost no cost I might add.
Budget wedding photography can be achieved by simply being honest with the photographer. Tell him or her how much you can spend on your photographer and see what you can figure out together. For example, if you are looking one of the packages that are slightly out of your price range but it is the package you really want, you could try to negotiate with the photographer.
For example: 1. You can ask if you could take something off of the larger priced package to drop the price down a little. 2. Ask if you can get the package for a slightly lower price that way you don’t have to sacrifice. 3. See if you can get a discount for making one lump sum payment instead of making a deposit and then incremental payments. 4. Don’t be afraid to ask for a deal. The worst thing the photographer can say is no.
It all started with the excavation of the new addition off the back of the house. The contractor started with digging for the new foundation, and stripping off the faade of the back of the house. While there was a bunch of activity on the outside of the house I even set up my DV video camera and shot time lapse video of all the carpentry and digging that was going on during a two hour period. It made for a fun video.
The style you choose for your wedding pictures should not be a weighing factor in the price of them. For example, if you prefer to have an artistic style photography for your wedding, do not allow the photographer to talk you into traditional style photography in order for you to be able to have your budget wedding photography done.
Some compromise is going to be necessary when you are trying to get your pictures for a smaller amount of money, but don’t be willing to sacrifice your overall needs and wants.
